Hello, we're Fibretag

Fibretag started with a simple observation that most business digital interactions didn't have a physical context layer. Something in the real world that connects businesses with potential customers. We come from a design and production background, spending years around materials, and the realities of small business operations. With NFC technology becoming standard in everyday use, mainly for contactless payments, the opportunity was there to integrate NFC into the physical business locations where potential customers can engage with businesses, becoming something durable, seamless, and genuinely useful, not a novelty, but real infrastructure.

We produce NFC touchpoints and wearable tags with the added ability to program, update, and manage what each tag does, whether that's opening a webpage, launching an app, triggering a workflow, or feeding structured context to an AI agent.

We're building toward a future where NFC isn't just a link on a product, it's a core layer of how businesses run their operations, connect with customers, and feed the automated and AI-driven systems that are becoming part of everyday business. That means continuing to invest in the physical side, better materials, more durable integrations, new product formats beyond touchpoints and tags, while building out a platform that makes it just as easy to manage a thousand tags across a retail footprint as it is to manage one.

As AI agents and automated workflows take on more of the work businesses used to do manually, we think physical products need a reliable way to communicate with them, and that's the role we want fibretags to play. Not a one-off gadget, but the connective layer between the physical business locations and the digital and AI-driven systems increasingly running behind the scenes.
